... and in some cases not what you need either. I had ordered a wrist watch from a well known shop in Norway.  A very cheap one since I am notorious at losing them. Got the parcel, opened it - and found a special Philips razor blade. How hard could it be to get it right, I wonder?

Resting after the last two days of work!

Tearing down a terribly solid, well insulated garden shed. Insulated with horrendous glassfiber, as we do in Norway. The shed also had electricity and lots of storage solutions that were both screwed and hammered to the walls. The sun was shining from a blue sky, we had well above +30 degrees Celsius in the sun. We were at it for most of the day.

First we removed the door....

Then we spent ages getting shelves and cupboards out.

Then the inside door panels, the plastic behind it and the glass fiber behind the plastic.  Not to mention the very heavy windows.

We got all of the plastic off, and a lot of the glass fiber. But we had Aro waiting at home and had to leave before we got to the outer walls. We decided to come back tomorrow.

Temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius for many days in a row takes its toll for someone who can not choose what clothes to wear.  Our hall never gets very warm,so that is where he goes to get some needed sleep.

Most of this day lost to sleep. A couple of short walks with Aro. It was Bjørn who made the day count by driving an hour to a grocery store, and to make a surprise dinner he had seen made on the net.

Had several errands in Bjørkelangen today.  Had a thorn removed from my foot (gosh how good not to thread on that any more, it was a pain in the... well, foot when I walked around with the lawnmower for three hours yesterday.  Then to the farmers' coop where I bought a couple of plants and also bought what I came there for - different kinds of bones to gnaw on for Aro. It is so warm now that he can not be outside for long. no shadow anywhere and 30+ degrees and sun from a clear sky is just too much for a guy with a crazily thick fur - sooo, I want to give him something to do inside. Then to the post office to post two letters.  The word "letter" is not in the vocabulary for today's postal workers, so I have learned not to confuse them with that. When the young guy asked me "Do they only contain documents!";  I have learned to answer "Yes, documents", and all is well.  Then I stopped by the small local mall for grocery shopping. Bjørkelangen had 35C. Not a cloud.  I know that my friends further south in Europe tell me they have 40+ for days on end.  This is nothing compared to the unbearable heat they have, but for someone who fairly recently had 8 months of cold, very coldand horribly cold, 35+ is too much. Suddenly I was about to faint, and I was dangerously warm. I went tot he cafe, had a nibble and a lot of fluids.  Sat there until I felt better. Grocery shopping, and then home where I crashed.

Been lawnmowing for three hours straight today. And been weeding for about two. Got lots of other stuff done as well. Not at all bad for a Norwegian in 29+ degrees.

Grocery shopping, housework, gardening and trying to gt used to the heat. And not to forget - watched the football quarter finals. Norway vs. England.  Such a thrilling game, though we lost. My dear US friend Cassie watched her first football match ever and stayed with me on the phone throughout the game. Sweet!

Up at 7 when Aro told me he needed to go out.   We walked for 40 minutes.  Came back, read for an hour. Was freezing so much, read under a thick, woolen blanket and was still shaking with cold. Felt a little sick an sort of "weak". Spent some time doing something that has been on my list for a while: Potting up and taking care of my indoor plants.  Went out to put some of my recently bought flowers in pots. Felt like I was going to faint, and decided to spend half an hour in the lympha press. No sooner than I laid down, I fell asleep. Slept like a log for two hours and felt so much better when I woke up again. Sat out in the sun for two hours while writing a letter to my favourite Swede, my penfriend Liselott. Felt a little like I was chatting with her over a cup of coffee.  Went for a walk with Aro and then sat down to watch the France - Morocco quarter final game. 0 - 0 so far!

A  new project today. Expect rain, so not a day for painting.  But my greenhouse is totally overgrown, both inside and outside. And now we have a hanger to fill :)

Bjørn went in, I cleared up behind the greenhouse alone. But he will cut down the tree in a few days.

It seems to have become a habit. When we clear a patch, we find a strange hole in the ground...

Filled the hanger. And... eh... then some.
